What are the chances of spinning up a beta Discourse forum to try out? =)

it took me quite awhile to build this from scratch. I suppose it's always a possibility, but makes me sad to bid good friends goodbye.

What about it do you think would be better than the current forum?

Oh man now I feel like I just told a Mom that her baby is ugly! I just happened to be browsing their meta site at the time and the thought just popped into my head... being me I start typing without a filter ;)

Actually, thinking about it again, Discourse would be way overkill, as @wsg mentioned it really isn't noisy enough to warrant all of that extra work.

It definitely is a nice looking forum. I've cruised around on there when it first came out and I like it's design and discussion flow a lot.

PS even though you guys can't see it, there are an immense amount of lurkers. 31 to be exact at this moment. Traffic grows steadily each week so that's good.

Oh yea, I noticed that when I was watching the RedScript analytics... pineapple click throughs were coming from all around the world all day. One thing i've noticed on most websites is that if you have one person posting/commenting/etc.. you have several orders of magnitude worth of users browsing and using the product silently.

I just meant there wasn't a ton of people using the discussion board so the cost/benefit of something like Discourse is pretty much overkill.

You must be getting a ton of traffic though, Google really seems to like the pineapple when I search for stuff!

Would be sweet to have a "guests and users" online feature on here.
