FLAG Spam

Hey, I added a flag feature. If your account is eligible, you'll see a 'flag' link down here. Just flag spam if you see it, and feel like it :)

What happens with flagged things?

What happens with flagged things?

Instantly removed from the queue of visible posts - and they go to a section where I get notified and I review them and either trash them or restore them.

FYI: I had to log out and back in to see the "flag" link.

Hey I have a thought: what if you disallow Anonymous posting and restrict posting for registered users for a couple of days at least? This would prevent a lot of spam. Occasionally would scare away new users, but the quality posts are coming from you, SkinnyGeek lush, and other long time members anyway.

That won't work. When you look at the backend, many many times the posts are created by hand, including the user account. Theyre created by some bottom-feeding twat who is "OK" with making 18 cents an hour.

All spamming on pineapple is done meticulously and painstakenly by hand... and the stupid part is they know i delete everything yet they waste their time ... hours a week probably.

I have the guys website actually.. i should post it if I can find it. i'm on a list of 'top sites to get backlinks from'.... and i get referral traffic from there, thats how i found it.

Oh, now I know why it didn't work: the flag option isn't visible in compact view, which I had turned on.
Could you fix that?

Do you need a certain reputation to see that button? I'm not seeing it.

Yes, I believe it's 20 (can't remember exact and I'm on my phone so I can't check)

How about a Captcha? I subscribe to your RSS feed and it's almost entirely spam.
