nice site :) question about tags

Nice idea for a site pineapple, i'm moving all my "resources" bookmarks over to it now. Just a few things i noticed while working on this:
- is there any way to suggest that a tag be added to a resource? for instance, if i forget to add a tag that is available on the site, if someone comes in behind me and notices it, can they add the tag to the resource or flag it as needing an additional tag?
- can't search discussions to see if this has already been brought up!

Cheers,
Chad

also it would be great to be able to see tags in my list of "favorites" on my profile, so the context of the resource can be seen at a glance without having to use bundles or remember

Hey Chad, thanks for your contributions!

You should be able to edit all resources that you've submitted. Just click 'edit' and add the tags you'd like if you forgot one. After you have a certain amount of reputation you can also create new tags on your own -- but it's similar to stack overflow in that you shouldn't add tags unless you really need to. I try to moderate every single resource, so i will pick up the slack as well in case something is forgotten.

As for your question about favorites, I was already thinking something along those lines.. I wanted to make a 1 sentence short (cropped) description, as well as the tags. That was already in the works

Whenever a resource is missing a tag I feel should be included to help filter search results so people in the future can find it, I normally just leave a comment. Pineapple is normally quick to respond and to add it in.

Also, welcome aboard, look forward to your collection of bookmarks!

Ah yes, Lush has a good method where he just comments on anything he sees wrong in the comments and I go fix it up (404s, missing tags, poor titles/descriptions, etc).

great, thanks lush and pineapple! I will try to follow suit unless I see a different best practice has emerged.

There are "compiling" and "compilers" tags, I think one of them is enough to have.
