What's great specifically about it is that it's a flat-rate fee for bandwidth. 4chan uses it probably to serve pedobytes (har har) of data at a fixed rate.

I like to use it as a static asset CDN in rails, by setting my asset_host in application.rb. Then I use nginx to create a subdomain which is pointed at public with a location block only set for location /assets { }. Finally on the regular domain, I deny access to /assets.

Finally you make a CNAME pointing towards with the alias static, enable the cloudflare orange cloud on it and you will have a very fast CDN on your app in 3 minutes flat.
