Docker Docker / tool / free

Docker is a great building block for automating distributed systems: large-scale web deployments, database clusters, continuous deployment systems, private PaaS, service-oriented architectures, etc.

Sweet. I came across docker whilst trying to find a "snapshot" style of utility for *NIX similar to VM software like VirtualBox offers. Never got round to trying it out thought. I much prefer the Vagrant workflow combined with Chef Solo. Not sure if Vagrant is fit for production use, but you can package up your whole environment to reuse again else where etc.

Why not make dockerbook its own submission, as a tutorial? Looks worthy, at least when it fully launches.

Ah yea, I did that because it wasn't launched yet, and I'm not sure when it will be. If you think it will be sometime soon I can add it, but as of right now all I see is a TOC with no content.. unless i'm missing something.

Looks like a while before it goes live, docker is just at v0.5.3 and books says it won't release till 1.0. But I'd probably submit it anyway and star it, knowing I'd likely have forgotten about it by the time it does launch. Though on the other hand I'm sure someone else will submit it then anyway... Your call :)
