I disagree with the tags, can't we have a tag that could fit for pineapple.io, news.ycombinator.com, etc ...I am think #news or #repo or #tools-library but can't settle on one

The tags used for this repo are too vague, but they hardly get used anyway. Normally they get boiled down to what they contain. See "Most Popular Tags" in the sidebar. We've spent a long time curating the lists and cleaning up the tags with relevant info binded to each resource.

If I add : "https://news.ycombinator.com/" as a ressource, should I define the tags as #webdevelopment and #webdesign also ?

Id recommend not using those tags if you can... those 2 are our 'fallback' categories, and mostly are where things go if they truly can't fit into anything else. They're still completely ok to use, but what I'm saying is you shouldn't really just use them by default.

As for HN, the reason it's difficult to tag that is probably because Y Combinator isn't really a resource that has a good fit here.. it's more of a news source. Granted, its a very, very good one, but If we open the door on that, then a lot of people are going to want to submit their news blogs, and most of them are really not going to be the same quality as HN, and will just dilute the content that's here.

I wanted to add https://github.com/trending along that.
for me http://onethingwell.org/ falls in the same bag.
There are those sites that trow you delicious things and i think all mixes well with pineapples well nearly.
I think as long as they fall in one explicit tag it should work fine with the up and down votes. Growth in the number of submissions is inevitable reading your rss daily has radically changed in the past week as matter of fact.
Knowing where to look for apps or resources is an invaluable resource...

Sure, those should be fine. Put /trending in github maybe, and the other one in whatever tag it's mostly associated with.. like bash or something. Also don't get me wrong, web design and web development are still perfectly fine if they can't be fit into something else.

Btw, what do you mean about the RSS changing? As in a good thing or?
